Why a Wildlife Photography Blog?
I’ve been lucky enough to be able to be involved in wildlife photography for the last ten years. I was bit by the travel bug and the wildlife photography bug at about the same time and with the good fortune of being able to travel four or five weeks out of the year, I’m able to generally plan my vacations around wildlife photography.
My main interest is bird photography, and living in a city with a high bird count of about 130 in an average year, many of my photography subjects are literally out my back door. We also attract a lot of marine animals which means that along with many bird species my average daily walk may occasionally give me shots of bat rays, leopard sharks, harbor seals and sea lions.
Although my wildlife photography trips give me lots of opportunity to share experiences, I thought a wildlife photography blog might be an even better way to communicate with those who enjoy wildlife as much as I do.
I’m going to start this wildlife photography blog with a recent trip to Costa Rica. Here’s a link to my Tortuguero National Park blog post. I hope you enjoy it, and please drop me a line in the comment section with any of your own pictures or stories to share.
